Diagnosen adhd - orsak och påverkan? : En studie om lärares syn på saken

Diagnosis of adhd, the cause and consequence. A study about the teachers thought about it.The purpose of this study was to examine teachers experience and views about children diagnosed with adhd, and what implication and effects it gives to the pedagogy strategies in the classroom.This is a qualitative study based on the experience of six teachers from primary school. My results have been compiled and compared to special educational research about adhd, from three different perspectives.The results showed that the teachers who have been working as teachers for a longer period, think that the problems of adhd occur primarily due to environmental causes, but then also say that they think the individual causes matters. It is also these teachers that talks very well about medication as a treatment to cure adhd symptoms. The teachers who have worked the shortest time, most of them have some special education from the teacher education.

Kvinnors upplevelser av att leva med ADHD: En kvalitativ studie

Abstract: The purpose of the study was to analyze the experience of being a woman diagnosed with ADHD as an adult. Another aim was to analyze how the women think itwould have influenced them, if they had been diagnosed during childhood.In the study, with a qualitatively approach, three women diagnosed with ADHD were interviewed. The data was analyzed with qualitative content analysis.The result shows that the women perceived affirmation when they received their diagnosis but they also pointed out that they had wished to receive the diagnose during childhood to avoid unnecessary suffering.The conclusion of the study was that it is essential to, as early as possible, follow up deviances in children and adolescents. Therefore, there is a need for more knowledge of how symptoms of ADHD in girls present itself.It is reasonable to believe that if healthcare and school have increased knowledge of symptoms of ADHD in girls, then these girls would be diagnosed at an earlier time.Keywords:ADHD,women,girls,treatment,self?esteem.

ADHD och missbruk: Vård vid samsjuklighet - en litteraturstudie

Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, ADHD, förekommer hos ca 3-5% av barn i skolåldern och ca 2,5% hos vuxna. Forskning har visat på att personer med ADHD löper en större risk att hamna i drogmissbruk och ungefär 20?35% av de som har något missbruksproblem har ADHD. Syftet i detta examensarbete är att genom en litteraturstudie undersöka om medicinsk behandling är en bra behandlingsmetod för individer med ADHD och missbruksproblematik. Resultaten visar att ADHD-symptomen minskar.

Barn diagnostiserad med ADHD : En studie om hur man på ett fritidshem kan arbeta med ADHD diagnosticerade barn

AbstractThe purpose of this paper is to find out how the after-school teachers can work with children diagnosed with ADHD on the after-school center, study the given conditions as well as the links between the two earlier mentioned. Four interviews, with four different after-school teachers, from four after-school centers in one municipality was made. The interviews consisted of seven questions, six of the questions gave the respondents the opportunity to own interpretation of the question and thereby answer the question after what they considered as correct.The result shows that work with ADHD diagnosed children can differ widely based on the conditions the after-school teachers have. Examples of conditions are knowledge and education on the subject, the after-school center environment, the number of teachers in the business and more. Based on the four interviewed response, and the information that previous research shows about the subject, the work with ADHD diagnosed children at the four different after-schools is not good enough.

ADHD och fetma hos vuxna personer : En litteraturstudie

ABSTRACTThe aim of this study was to describe various methods of treatment and effects of treatment of ADHD, and to investigate wheater there is an association between adults with ADHD and obesity. Method:  Literature review. Twelve quantitative scientific articles were found in the data bases PubMed, Cinahl and MedLine.  Result: ADHD is a cognitive impairment that can lead to serious complications such as obesity. Studies show that drug treatments of adults with ADHD have positive effects in terms of reduced symptoms, increased efficiency and improved quality of life, but drugs can also cause side effects in form of loss of appetite and insomnia. For adults with ADHD and obesity drugs that affect metabolism have a significant impact on patients ability to lose weight.

AbstractWe have chosen to examine how it can be to be diagnosed with ADHD in adults. Our purpose of this study was to examine the experience of being diagnosed with ADHD in adulthood. We wanted to investigate if people feel that the diagnosis has led to a change and if so, in what way. We also wanted to investigate the impact that the participants attribute the diagnosis. We have made a qualitative study in which we interviewed five men aged 31-45 years, who have all had their diagnosis for a year or more.

Behandlares kunskap om ADHD : En studie om SiS:s behandlingspersonals upplevda och uppskattade ADHD-kunskaper

Studiens syfte var att belysa kunskapsläget om ADHD hos behandlare inom SiS samt hur de arbetar med elever/klienter som har ADHD eller ADHD-liknande symtom. Ett ytterligare syfte med studien var att undersöka prevalensen av ADHD inom SiS. För att mäta kunskapsläget har upplevd och uppskattad kunskap undersökts. En kvantitativ metod med strukturerade telefonintervjuer användes. De mest framträdande resultaten var att behandlarna har god kunskap om ADHD men att de ej upplever att kunskapen är tillräcklig.

Copingstrategier under uppväxten och senare i vuxenlivet för individer som har funktionsnedsättningen ADHD

The purpose of this study was to examine the differences and similarities between coping strategies used by individuals with the disability ADHD in childhood and later adulthood. The questions we asked ourselves: Are the individuals using the same form of coping in adulthood as in childhood? What copingstrategies used individuals while growing up? What coping-strategies used the individuals in adulthood? To fulfill the purpose and answer the questions, we used qualitative methods. Interviews were conducted with four adults who have the disa-bility ADHD. The interviews were analyzed by the hermeneutic circle.

ADHD- diagnosen i skolan : En kvalitativ undersökning om fem pedagogers förhållningssätt till diagnosen ADHD i Åk 6-9

ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) is a phenomena that is much talked about in both schools and in communities. Today, there is a conflict surrounding the diagnosis ADHD. A part of the conflict takes part between the sociologist Eva Kärfve and Christopher Gillberg, professor in child- and teenage psychology. The roots of this conflict surrounds the much debated line of what is seen as normal and ?too? different, basically how many children that actually should have the diagnosis.

Att undervisa och pedagogiskt bemöta barn med ADHD

ADHD är ett funktionshinder som betyder att man kan ha problem med att reglera och kontrollera uppmärksamhet, impulsivitet och överaktivitet. Syftet med undersökningen är att ta reda på hur man i skolan arbetar med barn som har ADHD. Vi har använt oss av en kvalitativ forskningsmetod med intervjuer och observationer inom ett och samma område. Av vårt resultat framgick det att tydlighet, struktur samt förberedelse är viktiga komponenter i arbetet med barn som har ADHD. Det finns generella metoder för hur pedagoger kan anpassa undervingen men det är viktigt att anpassa de utifrån individens specifika begränsningar och behov.

Att leva med DAMP och ADHD - en empirisk studie om hur pedagoger kan underlätta och stödja barn som lever med DAMP och ADHD

Denna uppsats är en empirisk studie om hur man behandlar barn med DAMP och ADHD och hur man som pedagog kan underlätta för barn med neuropsykiatriska diagnoser i skolan. Syftet med uppsatsen är att få insikt i hur det är för barn att leva med DAMP och ADHD och hur det påverkar dem i skolan. Vi ville veta vad vi kan göra för att vara hjälpande pedagoger för dessa barn. I litteraturdelen har vi tagit upp fakta om DAMP och ADHD, hur hjärnan påverkar DAMP och ADHD, pedagogik gällande DAMP och ADHD. Resultatet grundas på våra intervjuer med specialpedagoger som har arbetat med barn med DAMP och ADHD under många år.
